The information in how to build a stand-alone High-voltage power supply is now available on the website. The stand-alone configuration combines a single-channel HVPS, a Raspberry Pi, a LCD touchscreen, and a battery. This enables to have a stand-alone unit that does not rely on an external computer and power source. This is for example […]

We have published the Peta-pico-Voltron project in Hardware X, which is a peer-reviewed open access journal from Elsevier. Schlatter S., Illenberger P. & Rosset S. (2018). Peta-pico-Voltron: An open-source high voltage power supply. HardwareX, 4, e00039. It presents a completely standalone version of Peta-pico-Voltron with a battery and touchscreen. The information on this configuration will […]
We are excited to present the recent development of the Peta-pico-voltron project! We have been working on a all new user interface programmed in Python for better portability across platform. The new interface can be run on a raspberry pi, and we have designed a completely self-contained unit that includes a touch screen, a single […]
Here is the poster we presented at the 19th SPIE conference on electroactive polymer actuators and devices, Portland, OR, march 2017. It summarises the main characteristics of the HVPS HVPS_poster
We have published information on how to combine several single channel HVPS (SHVPS) into a multi-channel (2-4) HVPS (MHVPS). The information is much less detailed than for the SHVPS, but so do not hesitate to contact us in case of questions.
We have published a video illustrating how the trigger function of the HVPS can be used for stroboscopic illumination. This allows to freeze or slow down the motion of actuators connected to the HVPS. For more information, see the Trigger/Strobe pulse page.
We have published a new version of the PCB and of the GUI PCB: v4b3 includes a minor modification that improves switching speed in multi-channel configuration. It doesn’t change how the unit behaves in single channel configuration, nor the assembly procedure. It is the newest (and hence recommended) version of the board. User interface: The […]
